Founded in 2023 by lifelong enthusiast William Thomas IV, SHM was built to bridge the gap in the industry—bringing authenticity, history, and community back to the sneaker game. Behind the Brand
Meet William Thomas IV
William is a 27-year-old Black entrepreneur from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with deep roots in the sneaker retail industry. Having worked across three different sneaker shops, he developed a profound understanding of customer behavior and product sourcing.
What truly sets William apart is his unique perspective on retail. He recognized that mainstream boutique stores were prioritizing profit margins over the culture, leaving everyday local sneaker lovers completely priced out. He built SHM to fill that void.

Sneaker Head Movement is built to support and elevate the commercial corridor of West Philadelphia.
